He said “ask and it shall be given, seek and you shall find.” Did He lie? He commanded us to be perfect. Did He place too much confidence in our ability to perform? He said “all things are possible to them who believe.” Was He joking? He said “all the promises of God are yea and amen.” Was He just pulling your leg? He said “be perfect, even as your Father in Heaven is perfect.” What!? “Go and sin no more.” This statement alone must make Jesus a liar, going by many of your comment on my post “I am Not a Sinner Saved by Grace. Are You?

Is it that Jesus is a liar, or is it that you don’t believe in Him as much as you profess to? Though you attend your services every Sunday, and many of you keep the Sabbath faithfully, you still have problems with many of Jesus’s basic statements.

The problem is not with Jesus’s words, or statements. The problem is you, the way you see yourself. The way you see your world, and the limitations place on you by others and yourself. Your ability to perform many of the commandments of Jesus is solely based on how you view yourself, and not the ability of Jesus to empower you to reach and surpass the works of Jesus as He promised we would. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” John 14:12

What you must understand is that nothing in Christ is done through your own power, but through the power of the Holy Ghost, which is given to those who ask with a repentant heart. If you had the power, or ability within yourself to do anything regarding Christ He would not have gone to Calvary. The fact that He went to Calvary is proof that you could not do it alone, because your mind could not comprehend it.

Even now many of you can’t comprehend living without sin, because you do not have the mind of Christ. Which comes with prayer and keeping your mind on Him. Nor do you understand that our sinful nature is done away with in Christ. So that your argument to the contrary testifies that you believe Jesus to be a liar. When you arbitrarily state that “Nobody’s perfect” as a Child of God, you consent to the notion that Jesus is a liar, since He commanded us to be perfect.

If Jesus is a liar, then you contend as most scientist do, that there is no salvation from sin through Jesus Christ, and you are yet a sinner. Jesus did not live and condemned sin in the flesh by the death of Himself, so that you truly are a sinner saved by grace. Therefore, your attending services on Sunday and keeping the Sabbath is a waste of your time. You might as well go ahead and sin until your heart’s content, because there is no hope of salvation if Jesus is a liar.

But I hope that you know that there is no lie in Jesus Christ. All of His words and works stand sure and everything He has commanded us to do, He has also empowered us to perform. So that you can live without sin, you can be perfect through Jesus Christ. For as He is, so are we in this world (see 1 John 4:17). You can change the world if you can only believe. For Nothing is impossible to them who believe.

Through faith in Jesus Christ you can change the course of storms. Not metaphorically, but naturally. Your faith in Christ can do the impossible, if you will only believe in the power of Jesus, rather than the weaknesses you possess.
